Audacity of Hype

I recently read your editorial and am disappointed by your views.  If you were to label my political viewpoint, I suppose you’d call me a “progressive.”  My opinion is that our current President is doing a terrible job.  He promised “change” and new leadership in the sorry wake of Bush.  He has failed already.

You mention that there hasn’t been enough time for Barack to undo the evil deeds of the previous administration.  Ridiculous.  Tomorrow, he could issue an executive order to end  war profiteering, and bring the troops home.  Rather, he chooses to escalate war after winning the Nobel Peace Prize, which makes me sick to my stomach.  Instead of spending billions abroad to kill, we could use that money at home, to build green infrastructure, make goodaffordable health care for all, support our educational system, etc.

He could set an agenda to get us off of a petroleum-based economy to renewable energy and create new jobs in that sector.  Instead he gave away our billions to corrupt, gambling companies.
His appointment in government have been appalling, from Robert Gates, William Lynn, and worst of all (to me), Ken Salazar.  He’s a former cattle rancher, and head of the Department of the Interior.  Ken would like to round up all the wild horses in Nevada, so that the cattle ranchers can have their way with the land.  Needless to say, they do not humanely round up these beautiful wild creatures.  It’s beyond heart-wrenching.
So when I see these Obama stickers, Obama peace signs, etc, I wonder if people have any clue as to what’s really going on in this 44th President’s administration.
